As a set of policy proposals, the Green New Deal will transform many aspects of how we live our lives, from how we commute to where and how we socialize. What effects can these policies have on how we feel? We’ll be in conversation about the positive impacts of a Green New Deal on our mental health and overall wellbeing, through the lens of psychology, humanities, and performing arts.
Join us on Wednesday, June 16, for a conversation with Wendy Greenspun, a clinical psychologist and member of the Climate Psychology Alliance-North America; Dr. Sarah Jaquette Ray, a public scholar and chair of the Environmental Studies Department at Humboldt State University; and Madeline Sayet, a theatre maker, citizen of the Mohegan Tribe and Executive Director of the Yale Indigenous Performing Arts Program.
The panel will begin with the short play "What We Give Back," written for Climate Change Theatre Action 2021 and read by the author Madeline Sayet. The conversation will be moderated by Julia Levine, Artistic Producer of The Arctic Cycle.
